What "full day" covers

Crucially, waiting time is included. A driver sitting outside your office for two hours is being paid the same as a driver on the move - which is exactly why this format works for days with long gaps in them.

Beyond the booked hours, expect Rs 150-250 per extra hour. Crossing into the 10 PM-6 AM window adds a night premium of 20-40%.
Book generously. Extending a booking mid-day is easy; finding a replacement driver at 7 PM because yours has finished his hours and left is not. An extra booked hour costs a couple of hundred rupees. Being stranded costs your evening.
Planning a multi-stop day
Share the full itinerary at the start
Give the driver every stop in order before you set off, not one at a time. He can then think about routing, fuel, and where he will park at each location instead of reacting to each instruction as it lands.
Be realistic about Delhi NCR traffic
Between 8:30-11 AM and 5-8:30 PM, add 60-80% to whatever your maps app estimates. A Gurgaon-to-Noida hop that looks like 50 minutes will take ninety in the evening peak. Building this in is the difference between a calm day and a day spent apologising for being late.
Tell him where you'll actually be waiting
"I'll be out of the mall in 40 minutes" is useful. "I'll be at Gate 3 of the mall in 40 minutes" is far more useful. Large NCR complexes have several exits and a driver circling the wrong side of DLF CyberHub costs you fifteen minutes.
Plan the driver's meal break
On a 10 or 12-hour booking, the driver needs to eat. Either build a 30-minute gap into the schedule while you are at lunch anyway, or tell him to eat during a long stop. A driver who has not eaten since 8 AM is not the person you want on the Expressway at 9 PM.
